| Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk for the Cure ASH is sponsoring Suzanne Williams in the “Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk for the Cure”. The event, which involves a 60-mile walk over three days, takes place in October in Atlanta, and raises money for breast cancer research, treatment, education, and prevention. We're also looking into signing up ASH members to be on the support crew for the event. Don't be surprised if hike leaders ask for donations. They will go towards the donation that Suzanne and all walkers have committed to raising. Each donation entitles you to a warm fuzzy feeling for helping to find a cure. |

Hello hikers!
Thanks to Clément for leading the Jones Bridge hike last Friday. They got in a good hike and then had a tasty meal at Taco Mac nearby. That’s always a great combination. Vera had a big group (21) for the hike at Red Top Mountain on Sunday. They had a good hike as well and covered a lot of the trails at the park.

July 4th trip update: The July 4th cabin trip is coming up in a few weeks. A number of folks have signed up, but there is still some room available. It’s the best trip of the year! Sign up soon.
NOTE: The July monthly meeting at Dagwood’s has been cancelled. I will be out of town. We will meet again in August.

NOTE: If you RSVP for an event, please show up or let the hike leader know if you can't make it. Otherwise, people end up sitting and waiting on you when you're not going to make it. That's inconsiderate. (I'll try to make sure there is contact info out there so you can get in touch with the hike leaders.)
